In this post we’re going to talk about daily habits of successful people I try to imitate.

As a business owner, I’ve learned that it’s not enough to work hard and put in long hours to be successful. It also has to do with taking care of yourself and your mind. Healthy habits that you do every day can make a big difference in your personal and professional life. Here are some things that I try to implement into my daily life! I am not always perfect, but I stick to these principles 90% of the time and I absolutely find that it helps me.

A healthy lifestyle

If you look around, many successful people are healthy. The daily habits of successful people help keep them physically and mentally sharp. My health is one of the most important parts of my daily life. I’ve found that taking care of my body not only makes me feel better physically, but it also makes me more productive and creative. A healthy lifestyle includes things like walks or going to the gym regularly, eating well, and getting enough sleep.

Daily exercise

Exercise is a great way to start the day and get your blood flowing. Even a simple 20-minute walk can do a lot for your body and mind. I like to do walk every day and am currently working on getting 10,000 steps a day! It helps me stay focused and calm all day long, and with 2 dogs and a baby- I don’t have much of a choice! Simply getting up and getting moving, breathing fresh air, and getting some Vitamin D works wonders!

Eating well

Eating well is also important for your health in general. As a busy business owner, it can be tempting to eat quickly or find junk food as quick snacks throughout the day. But I’ve found that making small changes to my diet, like eating more fruits and vegetables and less processed foods, has made a big difference in how my body and mind feel. There is absolutely a correlation between eating well and being sharper mentally and physically.

Beauty rest

Getting enough sleep is also very important to your health as a whole. Lack of sleep can make you less productive, make it hard to make decisions, and even hurt your health. I make sleep a BIG priority and try to get 8+ hours of sleep every night (if the baby will let me 😉)!

Staying organized

As a business owner, I’ve learned that it’s just as important to take care of my physical health as it is to stay organized. Keeping track of due dates, appointments, and things to do can help you feel less stressed and get more done. I love to use Google Calendars for my personal reminders and love to use a physical planner for work. Checking off a to-do list is my favorite feeling! I use a planner and project management software, among other things, to keep track of my tasks and due dates. I also make sure to take breaks during the day so I don’t get too tired and lose my concentration.

Manifestations

Manifestation is also an important part of my daily routine. I believe that what you focus on grows, and that I can make my goals come true by setting clear intentions and picturing them. I start each day by practicing meditation in a very rudimentary form, where I think about my goals and try to picture them in my mind. I also try to stay positive and avoid talking badly to myself or having limiting beliefs. This can be hard! You can practice forms of meditation of all different levels- all will work to help keep your mind clear.

Gratitude

A big part of my daily routine is also being grateful. By thinking about the things I’m thankful for, I can keep a positive attitude and bring more good things into my life. Every day, I make it a habit to write down three things I’m thankful for. Even if it’s just a good cup of coffee or a successful meeting, taking the time to think about the good things in my life helps me stay grounded and on track. These days, I of course find myself grateful for the amazing friends and family that are in my life.

Inspiration  comes and goes for all of us. It’s an important part of my everyday life to try and keep myself inspired because inspiration leads to motivation. As a business owner, it’s easy to get stuck in a routine or feel uninspired. But I’ve found that staying motivated and creative helps me when I look for inspiration and keep my mind open. I make sure to read books and articles about my industry, go to conferences and workshops, and look for chances to meet other professionals in my field and talk with them. I follow other creators in my field and draw inspiration from what they do, and I know I have in turn helped to influence others! As a business owner, I can keep learning and improving as long as I keep an open mind and am interested in new things.

As a successful business owner, it’s important for me to have healthy habits, stay organized, practice manifestation and gratitude, and look for inspiration every day. By putting these habits first, I can keep my physical and mental health in good shape, stay productive and focused, and keep learning and growing in my field. I think it’s important for all business owners to take the time to make their own routines a priority. I promise that doing so will improve your work and how you feel! It may seem like a daunting task to try and change your routine, but in just a few short weeks you will not even remember the old you! So get going!
